Dancing the night away – The Cypriots really know how to party and their love of dance is celebrated over a wide range of annual events. In late May/early June there’s more chamber music at the Pharos International Chamber Music Festival. For a mixture of musical styles, take your Cyprus holiday in mid-July, when the island sees the Ethnic Festival and International Music Festivals, both held in Limassol. If you like opera, the Pafos Aphrodite Festival in August/September is your chance to enjoy some fabulous performances in a beautiful outdoor setting.Be a sport – If you want some sporting action during your holiday in Cyprus, there is plenty going on throughout the year for you to enjoy either as a spectator or participant; the Troodos International FIS Races is a ski event held in early March or see if you can bag a place in the Cyprus Marathon in the middle of the month. For golf lovers, there’s the Cyprus Amateur Open in April/May and if you like a broad range of sport, see if you can get tickets while on your Cyprus holiday to Lemisia; this international event sees competitors fighting to be the best in a wide range of sports including karate, shooting, boxing and gymnastics.

Carnival time – If you want some carnival magic on your holiday in Cyprus, during late February and early March, Limassol and Paphos host their fabulous carnivals.
